The lavastone guéridon table

Super simple, essential and iconic, the guéridon table fully expresses the beauty of our lava stone. Even through the smallest detail, this piece of furniture enriches the decor project with its pure and elegant style. The Guéridon table in lava stone is designed to furnish in style any lounge area for hospitality and retail projects, reception rooms in offices or home living rooms.

The Gueridon coffee table is part of the lava stone project designed by Charlotte Juillard. The lava stone is a raw material that the designer treats in a very peculiar way. She chooses essential geometric lines to enhance the colors of the glazed lava stone and the texture of the pure gray lava stone.
She does the same with this coffee table, which is also a tribute to the French Guéridon table: the traditional Guéridon from 18th century is characterized by tangled curved columns and a round top, which makes it a finely decorated piece of furniture.
The lava stone Guéridon honours such tradition by overturning its canons in order to highlight colors and geometries.
Two semi columns in gray raw lava stone work as a load-bearing base, but it’s the round top the real ornamental element, thanks to the range of glazes and effects that can be used on the lava stone surface.

Both glazed and pure gray lava stone are put together in a perfect balance that emphasizes the beauty and the decorative versatility of the lava stone.

Its pure lava stone finishes can be customized and shaped without any additional treatments; however specific finishes can be added to change the gray texture of the stone without altering its colors and natural design.
The top can also be colored by using the ever-changing palette of enamels and effects.
In the examples shown, we have applied a pale pink glaze and a sapphire blue one.

Isadora, the sculpted daybed for the hospitality, workspace and retail sectors

Versatile, elegant, never boring, the Isadora daybed has been designed for the hospitality, workspace and retail sectors, as an iconic element to welcome the customer and invite them to stop and take the time they deserve.

The Isadora sofa, carved out of a block of lava stone and custom-made by Ranieri from a design by Charlotte Juillard, is on its second version.
The daybed is amongst the most popular pieces of furniture preferred by our customers.
This convinced us to propose a new version, which differs from the previous due to the central position of the pillow separating the two seats, and the smaller size of the sofa, making it suitable for small showrooms, offices and retail shops.

Versatile, elegant, never boring, the daybed immediately becomes an iconic element to welcome and invite your customers to sit back and relax.
The structure made in pure lava stone is a single natural block of stone extracted and selected from the quarry face of the volcano. The only work that this bare beauty has been subject to is the polishing.

The neutral gray color easily matches any type of fabric and pattern.
Not only does the Isadora daybed suit many different designs in the hospitality, offices and retail sectors but is also perfect in a minimal elegant house living room.
Simple and sophisticated, the daybed is a custom-made piece, like any other applications branded Ranieri. Customers can choose the stone finish, the range of fabrics for the filling and the features of the metal support.

Inside our partnership for the reopening of Miami’s legendary Surf Club

Ranieri Lava Stone partnered with Molteni, leader in Italian designer furnishings, in the re-opening of Miami’s legendary Surf Club: the Four Seasons Surfside, project by Richard Meier, interiors designed by Joseph Dirand.

The Surf Club is a historic building, an iconic oceanfront landmark at the northern end of Miami Beach.
It opened on New Year’s Eve 1930 and instantly marked the story as one of the most loved places by pioneers of the good life and Hollywood stars.
The Surf Club reopened after a five-year redevelopment as Four Seasons Surfside.
Architect Richard Meier re-designed the building as a five monumental rectilinear glass blocks building that glitter in the sunlight: the Four Seasons Surfside reopened as a hotel, condominiums and private club.
As the original coral-stone clubhouse was originally designed by Russell Pancoast in the “Mediterranean style” of the 1920s, the interiors, designed by Paris-based architect Joseph Dirand, revoke the golden age of the twenties being contemporary, intensely beautiful and artfully at the same time.
Ranieri Lava Stone partnered with Molteni, a leader in Italian designer furnishings, in this prestigious project.
We’ve been commissioned the newly designed Champagne Bar and the lava stone table tops of the restaurant, which occupy the very heart of the magnificent Surf Club.

BAR COUNTER / MIAMI FOUR SEASONS SURF CLUB

There’s an ingenious interplay of textures in the materials selected by Joseph Dirand, and the crackle-glazed lava stone has been used both for the majestic bar counter, the restaurant table tops, and other accent elements as lava stone support for lamps.

The decoration under the bar counter was achieved using a green glaze over fluted stone tiles to produce a wave-like effect. The customization of the enameled lava stone fluted tiles for the bar counter claddings enhance the exclusivity of the champagne bar:

Over 3 mt lava stone slabs were used for the glazed top, hollowed inside to make it lighter:

The same white lava stone glazing, with its distinctive craquelé, has been applied to restaurant table tops and supports for lamps:

All the lava stone pieces are custom elements: each detail from the cutting process to the finishes and the choice of enamels has been made to measure, step by step with Joseph Dirand team.

We consider this project as a flagship in our portfolio as this represents our mission: as lava stone suppliers and consultants we partner with architects and designers throughout the creative stages of their stone-based projects bringing the project to the highest levels of achievement, up to the top result.
