Lambart & Browne, the interior design team behind Bagatelle Restaurant in Montecarlo, created a sartorial work where each piece is unique and made by artisanal dyein, where Ranieri lava stone surfaces’ve been used to enhance the charm of the ambience.
This is exactly the peculiarity of our lava stone applications, highly recommended for boutique tailored design projects, as each lava stone surface is a non-repeatable and luxurious craft creation, made unique by cutting, tones and textures.
Bagatelle is the chic go-to place in Montecarlo, and just a few steps away from the Casino, overlooking the Café de Paris gardens, it is the new hotspot for Monaco’s elite.
The design of the venue was entrusted to Lambart & Browne, the London based team of young talents headed up by Freddy van Zevenbergen and Tom Browning, a brilliant team creating inventive spaces, forward-looking boutiques, and lifestyle projects.
Freddy van Zevenbergen and Tom Browning, renowned for their inspirational style and creative flair. designed a unique environment which perfectly embodies Escapism.
When asked for a sort of hedonism L & B came up with a series of beautiful spaces: light, bright & glittering they are elegant with collections of wit & exuberance.
With the word of Freddy van Zevenbergen “This place is a sort of classical circus with secluded corners for schmoozing or snoozing or minding your own business, meets boisterous and playful dining for turning heads as you dance circles on your banquette to house tunes!”
Not taking itself too seriously, the original building has been redesigned to relax and embrace its visitors.
Light, bright and glittering, every area exudes wit and exuberance and have been decorated with light-hearted indulgence.
Peacock blue velvet curtains hide the entrance to the VIP copper vault seating and at the other end of the dining room, a hammered copper starburst bar sits pride of place.
OUR LAVA STONE APPLICATIONS ARE NON REPEATABLE AND GIVE UNUSUAL ELEGANCE TO THE BOUTIQUE TAILORED DESIGN PROJECT
At Bagatelle restaurant the lava stone finishing were used to enhance details, such as the buffet counters, reception area, and decorative support panels for sofas in the restaurant, creating secluded corners.
The lava stone corners finished with glossy neutral enamel, plays well with the glamorous furniture, the unlacquered copper which adds warming and reflective glow to the ambiances, the hand block printed textiles, studio printed wall coverings and illuminated polished plaster where the ceilings are pasted in the Bagatelle signature pocket blue.
Lambart & Browne orchestrated all the creativity to create a unique environment, they created a sartorial work that gathered together different excellences: each textile, furnishing, and finish is one of a kind piece made for the project; each piece is unique exclusive raw material made by artisanal dyeing.
Ranieri was chosen as part of the sartorial team, for the specialization and approach on volcanic stone.
When we work on a new project, we select the most suitable volcanic blocks and slabs from the best lava stone quarries.
Our workshops, located at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, employ stone artisans whose skills have been handed down over the centuries in traditions that live on in southern Italy. They include stone chiselers, decorators, pattern designers, and ceramic tile producers. Furthermore, we apply the modern carving techniques for innovative cuts on the stone.
Our lava stone pieces can be coated with an enamel glaze and fired at a very high temperature to reveal a bewildering palette of colors and a wide range of opportunities for interior design projects.
The coloring is an artisanal process whose outcome depends on the skill and interpretation of the ceramist.
This artisanal coloring techniques which are applied to the natural volcanic stone gives the surface colors richness and depth:
That’s why our applications are highly recommended for boutique tailored design projects, because each lava stone surface is a non-repeatable luxurious craft creation, and its beauty is precisely in the differences in tones and textures that make each lava stone piece unique.
Each piece made with our volcanic surface comes out adding a precious and unusual elegance to the whole ambiance.
