When measuring for surface tile the rule is: Length x Width + Waste = Amount Needed
Waste Factor will vary based upon tile size, layout, configuration of room, patterns, etc. Typical waste factor is about 10%. Add 15% for tile being installed diagonally or for a room with lots of jogs and corners. These installations will require more cuts and thus more waste.
In the next image, you can appreciate this fabric effect tile in the Dusty Cream Opaque 10×10 floor cladding.
In the cover image, a bespoke pattern application, where the decorative motif adorns the 90 x 200 cm lava stone table top, being directly impressed on the lava stone slab and finished in the Rain Blue Opaque tint.
Our premium handcrafted decoration technique involves a direct bespoke decoration of large surfaces and pieces of furniture, as well as the firing of the piece in the oven at high temperatures, thus making it particularly resistant to wear, as well as retaining the charm and preciousness of the handcrafted one-of-a-kind piece.
About this pattern: the pattern is named after the Ljuta river that flows in the far south of Croatia.
A tribute to the ethnographic heritage of this land, between sea, canals, mills and uplands, Ljuta evokes that world of embroidery and lace in which cobwebs filled with traditional motifs were woven.
On small and large surfaces, natural lava turns into a fabric with an elegant and antique look.
