The versatility of lava stone in residential architecture

Contemporary homes ask for continuity.

The kitchen converses with the living area, interior spaces open towards the garden, terraces become outdoor rooms and large glazed openings reduce the distance between house and landscape.

In its natural state it presents a porous texture, deep tones and mineral variations. Glazed, it acquires color, reflections and a more compact surface, while keeping the nature of the body legible.

Every architect looks for materials capable of giving a project identity without taking the place of the architecture.

Lava stone has a strong presence, yet it can be calibrated.
